Why I borrowed a kid for an hour

I target myself to do 10,000 steps a day!

It keeps my active, even on days when I am not exercising (yep I do have rest days)

Yesterday I had a rest day and realised I had no incentive to get outside!

^^^^The sun was shining but I had a heap of work to do on the laptop

(And annoyingly laptop screens are only made to be used INDOORS! So frustrating!)

I looked at my tracker and i had done 935 steps and it was 1pm!

I had hardly moved!

When a friend of mine posted on Facebook that her 7 year old was bored

There was my opportunity

Hit up a message 'Can I borrow you child for an hour to go to the park and play football?'

The reply came back 'Gladly, yes'

So out we went into the sun, me and Jack and a football and played. Before long my tracker had shot up to 6000!

Why am I telling you this?

Nope, not so you all go out and become unpaid babysitters

But daily activity is key to health and fat loss!

In fact research shows it is more important than exercising 3 times a week in 1. getting rid of the fat and 2. keeping it off 12 months later!

Our lives are so sedentary now that we need to make time just to move!

Especially if we want to be healthy and fat free!

Tomorrow I'll tell you about how I got my steps up to 10,000

^^^^And why my neighbours think i'm weird!
